Thunderstorms Heading Towards Ghana Today - Metro Warns

The Ghana Meteorological Agency has declared that a rainstorm is moving toward Ghana from Nigeria on Thursday, April 12, 2022.

The Agency says the tempest is supposed to hit Ghana between 6hours to 8hours from the hour of recording this story [6:30am on Thursday].

The Chief Forecaster for the Ghana Meteorological Agency, Felicity Ahafianyo, told Sunrise on 3FM facilitated by Alfred Ocansey that "the tempests coming from Nigeria expected to hit Ghana somewhere in the range of 6 and 8hours".

"It will hit Volta, Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central, Eastern and Western districts", she made sense of.

Lady Ahafianyo said towns and urban areas, for example, "Afloa, Accra, Kumasi, Agona Swedru, Sefwi Wiawso, Koforidua, Akyem Oda" among others, will be hit by the tempest.

"The tempest is additionally continuing on the ocean so it isn't fitting to be on the ocean. We should be extra cautious on the ocean in light of the fact that the beach front lines will likewise experience such tempests", she cautioned
